About me
I am Matthias, founder and managing director of Hubtimal. My focus is where marketing, sales and data come together: CRM consulting, Revenue Operations, performance marketing and AI automations. In projects, I am usually the Solution Architect and main point of contact all in one. I design tracking plans, restructure CRM setups that have grown messy over time and ensure that marketing and sales are finally looking at the same figures.
From channel to system
Many enquiries start with a specific question, often regarding Google Ads or the CRM. During the analysis, the same pattern almost always emerges: the actual problem does not lie within the individual channel, but in the system behind it. Data is scattered across too many tools, the trail goes cold after the handover from marketing to sales, and nobody trusts the reports. This is precisely why I founded Hubtimal: as a team that views growth as a whole, rather than a collection of individual channels.
How I work
I work like an in-house executive, just from the outside. I ask the uncomfortable questions, even if the honest answer shrinks my own engagement. After conducting an audit for a client who approached us for Google Ads, my first piece of advice was to stop running Google Ads, because that wasn't their problem at the time. I am tool-agnostic: whether HubSpot, Pipedrive or Close is the right fit is decided by your sales team, not by the latest trend. And I don't measure success by MQLs, but by generated pipeline.
Who I most like to work with
I am a startup person. I prefer working with small and medium-sized B2B companies with 10 to 100 employees that are owner- or founder-led, make quick decisions, and implement them without bureaucracy. The companies we work with include the likes of Tidely, Bergzeit, wattline, and Oscar Karem Business Consulting.
What I'm currently working on
Together with my team of revenue architects, CRM consultants, and specialists in paid and organic growth, I am automating more and more recurring steps in the revenue process with AI, using tools like n8n and the Claude API. My standard remains the same: understand first, then build. Here on the blog, I write about what actually works in real projects, without the buzzwords.
